My Favorite Festival

My favorite festival is the Spring Festival. It is the most important and popular festival in China. It usually falls in January or February. Before the festival, people clean their houses and make everything new and fresh. During the festival, people visit their family and friends, exchange red envelopes, and let off fireworks. I like the Spring Festival best because I can get lots of lucky money and wear new clothes.

Mid-Autumn Festival

My favorite festival is the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival. It is celebrated in the harvest season and is a time for farmers to express their thanks for the harvest. It is also a day for family reunion. People who work or study far away from home will come back to their families to enjoy a big meal and mooncakes. I hate parting but love reunion, so Mid-Autumn Day is my favorite festival.

Labor Day

I spent the Labor Day holiday very quickly. On the 1st May, we went to the zoo, which was crowded with many travelers from all over the country. On the 2nd May, I visited my relatives with my parents, and we had a great lunch together. The restaurants were also crowded. On the 3rd May, we went shopping in the mall and then watched a new movie. All the other days were spent at home because I still had some homework.

National Day

National Day is coming, and we can have a seven-day holiday. My family is going to Hainan. It is a good seaside city where we will stay for a week. We plan to visit the beach, go swimming in the sea, and explore beautiful places like Tianya Haijiao and Wanquan River. I think we will have a great time there.
